Big Changes

Hey everybody!  Happy President's Day.  If you're in the USA and a federal employee, you've got the day off (LUCKY US!  As in "us", not "U.S." ... as Mr Napping is federally employed with the system of higher education).  Annnyway, you can join me on Instagram (@whilehewasnapping) if you'd like to check out what we're up to on this lovely extra day off...  And on to the post...

This is a housekeeping post, but one you might find exciting.  Well, maybe not exciting, but... informative, if nothing else.  Big changes are on their way to my little corner of the blogosphere.  It was almost exactly a year ago that I took a step way back in my blogging frequency because of a new project I had going on.  It was the project of dual motherhood (yeah, yeah, I know that's not a real thing, as motherhood doesn't have a tier system, but maybe it should...) - My Gator boy was born.  {I had forgotten how much time a newborn takes!  And two kids take so much more energy!  So, blogging took a back seat to my duties as wife and mom.  We also bought a new house and, I hate to admit, we still aren't all moved in.}

But, I feel like I've come to a point in blogging where I either need to quit or step it up.  And I don't want to quit.  Not yet, anyway.  I'm not looking to be a big blog, or even a profitable blog (but that would be nice...), but I enjoy writing.  I enjoy creating and I enjoy sharing my ideas.  So, that's what I'm going to do.

There will be a little more structure and routine.  I am in organizing mode and it only makes sense to organize my digital life too.  Besides, this is about the only place I can keep my kids from leaving their toys and peanut butter hand prints all over the place, so hopefully it will stay cleaner longer than my real life.

It's gonna get real here.  You'll see that I'm not perfect.  Not all my projects turn out.  Sometimes, my photos suck and I'm not as good in Photoshop as I think I am.  My house is usually messy.  My kids drive me crazy.  Sometimes, we have cheap pizza from a box for dinner and, more often than not, there are toys on the floor.  Pizza boxes and my messy family room might pop up in {imperfect} photos, don't be alarmed.  It's just my life.

So, without further babbling on my part, here is the new {tentative} schedule for While He Was Napping posts.  Changes may be made as needed, and I might miss one or two now and again, but for now this is what I'm going to try to stick to:

Sunday Sneak Peek - A little head's up on what to expect for the upcoming week (starting next week... I'm not actually that organized yet {insert sheepish grin})
Monday Munchies - Recipe
Typography Tuesdays - A printable (for a short time, I am taking requests and suggestions on printables.  Send in your suggestion and it might become a freebie.  My custom designs are $25 in my Etsy shop.  Submit your ideas now and maybe you'll get it for FREE!).  These will be a wide variety of prints, but they will all be printable and available for free (although there may be add-on packs available in my Etsy shop for some of the projects, like the Free Printable Date Night Jar.  I may also list some of the "freebies" in my shop, in case anyone wants to help me buy more craft supplies... =D  They will still be posted here and available for free.)
Whatchamacallit Wednesday - Whatever I want {think: other crafts and projects, date night ideas, home decor, ect}  =)
Top Three Thursday - I'll share my top three ... somethings (websites, kids activities, pinterest pins/boards, color schemes for upcoming seasons/holidays, fonts, snacks or other recipes, fitness tips that are working for me, links from the current weekend linky, or whatever else strikes my fancy.)  This is meant to be fun and may change in the future to more structured content, but I wanted a fun and carefree post where I don't have to stress about doing more projects.
Fancy Free Friday -Something fun for the kids or family (games, crafts and projects, activities, ect).  I will try to keep in free or nearly free.

Also, I hope to do more giveaways as well.  You guys are AWESOME and deserve some awesome stuff... we'll have to see what the bank accounts will allow though or if any super sponsors come up.  Unless someone has a money tree, golden goose, or stash of buried treasure they wouldn't mind sharing....... any takers?  No.  Hmmm.  Fine, then.

I have more ideas for other changes I want to make, but let's just go with baby steps, yeah?  I've thrown a lot at you, I know.  But, I just wanted to get the nitty gritty stuff out there.  2013 is going to be fabutastic.
