I once mde blankies for nephews similar to this. I found material that was printed with almost exactly your design and did the simple quilt thing with them (poking yarn through two layers of fabric and batting and tying it off). I ended up using iron-on letters to put the name of their town on each blankie. We had Connor Ville, Ryan City, and Josh Town.
