I have been using the Loreal sublime glow. I feel the same way… love looking tan… hate cancer. I felt like it was working great… but all the sudden I started blotching… I think I am drying out and peeling in areas… exfoliating kinda… and it’s leaving me spotty and blotchy. NOT loving that. I may try a spray one and make sure to put more regular lotion on in between tanner lotion. Thanks for the post.

Coppertone Gradual Tan lotion is a GREAT one! I just found it this year and love it! Hardly any “funky self tanner” smell, doesn’t feel greasy, can be applied several times in a day to build color and looks natural! (I do love a good spray tan but this lotion is a less expensive method for regular use!)

I have to say that Spray tanning is my #1! Love it! It looks so natural and makes me look/feel 10 lbs thinner 🙂

Love to see you extolling sunless tanning options. I am personally cool with being of the pale variety..I mean heck.. Vampires are very ~in~ right now..right?? But the best reason is skin cancer. We all want to be here years from now for our kids and our families. Each serious burn or time in the tanning bad increases our chances of Melanoma.. better indeed to get your tan from a bottle if you are so inclined! :)

great post- the first time i tried self-tanner it was streaky and it smells awful. I like Victoria’s Secret spray tanner- you see immediate color and it smells like coconuts!

Instead of using rubber gloves, I have used sandwich bags. I just slipped them over my hands and got to work. With my pasty white legs, I should get back to work – NOW! 🙂

Thanks for the tips. I am super nervous, but I am totally going to try self-tanner. I got a spray tan for my wedding a few years ago and I LOVED it! Pricey, but oh so worth looking gorgeous in my wedding photos!
