After ~6.5 years of infertility my husband and I have been trying to come up with a creative way to tell people we are adopting without hearing “OMG you’re finally pregnant” over and over again. We want everyone around us to be as excited about this as we are, but it has been a little slow going for them to get that we really are “paper pregnant” and WANT to talk about it like any other pregnant woman would! 🙂

I just found an adorable picture that we want to recreate showing just our legs and shoes below our knees with an empty pair of baby shoes next to ours (inspiration photo is here) with the words: “Can’t wait to meet the child who will fill these shoes. We’re adopting!” We would love nothing more than to be able to send these out to everyone with a more professional look than we were planning to do!

Hopefully we can follow them up with adoption birth announcements sometime soon too!
