Sometimes, it’s the essentials that can make all the difference. I still carry this pouch in my car 24/7 and it’s so nice to have those little things! Can’t wait to read about your trip!

I didn’t have any problems with sewing the bags in, but I just used regular sandwich bags, so they weren’t very thick. I did probably 10 of them though. I pinned them to the fabric and then sewed so the pins were in the little tab of the binding. That way there weren’t holes in my bags. I did have to sew slowly. If you’re still having trouble, maybe pin the plastic above the zipper part to the fabric to help hold them in place while you sew. Good Luck! If you get a chance, definitely try to check it out again when you can see the photos. It’ll make a lot more sense. Yes, the bags are Ziploc-style bags. I’ve been using my little pouch since I posted it on my blog and haven’t had any bags rip out. I would suggest using a bag with a thicker plastic, like the Ziploc brand. If you’re worried about it, you could even use the thicker quart size storage bags, though that will make your pouch a little bigger. You can’t yank on the bags, but normal wear and tear shouldn’t pull them out. Like I mentioned, mine are all still intact and I’ve been using it for over two years. It’s awesome to keep in the glove compartment or under the seat in the car. Good luck! Let me know if you’re still confused.
