{Printable} Life is Good

These printables come from a quote suggested by Jessie on my Facebook page.  Thanks for the quote Jessie!  I love this quote, it is so true.  Usually.  We had a great day yesterday!  The boys and I did a photo shoot.  I wanted some 1 year pictures of Gator {I’ll post a few in a few days} and they turned out waay too cute.  We also spent the afternoon out riding the ATV’s.  One of the many perks of living down the street from BLM land!  =)  I love my family.  Life, most definitely, is good.

You can download these images by clicking on the link below them.

THANKS!

Printable Date Night Jar

So, last week I showed you what I made for Mr Napping for our 5th wedding anniversary in two weeks.  Don’t worry, he doesn’t read my blog so he’ll still be surprised.  You should check that out if you’re looking for a gift for your someone special… Valentine’s Day is coming up (wink, wink).

If you’re looking for something a little less time consuming – because painting 52 little wood sticks was just that – you’ll love what I have for you today.  I’ve been out of the printable scene for a while and I think this is a great little freebie to jump back in with.  You’ll be able to make a gift for your someone special for practically FREE!

PRINTABLE DATE NIGHT JAR

Printable-Date-Night-Jar

Materials:

– Jar
– Free PDF of the Jar Label and Date Ideas.
– Glue or tape
– Baker’s Twine or other string (optional)
– Spray paint or scrapbook paper (optional)

Directions:
1.  Gather your jar and print off your printed PDF (just click the link above).  I recommend printing these off on card stock for a sturdier hold up.  You could use a Mason jar, a peanut butter jar you’ve cleaned out, or an old spaghetti sauce jar you’ve washed.
2.  Cut apart the dates and the jar label with scissors or a paper cutter.
3.  Fold the strips of paper and drop them in the jar.  I found that folding them in fourths worked the best.  They stuck together when I folded them in half and it was hard to pull out just one slip of paper.
4.  You may want to spray paint the lid of your jar or cover it with scrapbook paper.
5.  Tie your Baker’s twine around the jar and affix the label to your jar with tape or glue.  You could even use clear contact paper for a more waterproof label.

Grab a free copy of this file, without watermarks, from HERE.

This file is for PERSONAL USE ONLY.  If you want to share the file with others, please give them this web page address and they can download their own copies.  No portion or alterations of this file may be sold or claimed as your own.  I reserve all rights.  I like to share, but let’s all play nice.  Please and thanks.

If you’re interested in different date ideas or more ideas for a larger kit, you can purchase 32 more date night strips from my While He Was Napping Etsy Shop.  Files are instant download, so you’ll have them in your hot little hands (or on your hot little hard drive, as the case may be) as soon as your payment is processed!

Happy Dating!

Jingle Bells Subway Art Printables

Happy Holidays, everyone!  How’s the Christmas shopping going?  Or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or whatever holiday you may be celebrating.  I’m beyond excited that I’m done with the shopping part… now just madly trying to get all the gifts assembled.  I’m beginning to wonder how wise it was to start the PJ pants from Mom on Christmas Eve tradition……. ah, well.

Anyway, these little goodies went up at Lil Luna last week (my last post there!  It’s been fun, but I feel like I need to get my life a little more under control before I commit content to such a big blog again.  It’s too much stress!).  I wanted to share them here too, in case you missed it then.

I was super excited to get to post in December.  I love Christmastime and designing for the holidays.  Since I’ve already done a good couple handfuls of holiday printables, I was a little stumped on what to do.  But, I think I came to a great conclusion!  I love the way these turned out and I hope you can find some way to incorporate them into your holidays.  Christmas cards, home decor, gift wrap… just a few ideas.

Advent Calendar

Last year, I attempted an activity advent calendar with Little Monkey, but being eight months pregnant, helping with wedding preparation, and chasing my two year old didn’t leave a whole lot of time for putting it all together and carrying on with it.  THIS YEAR, this year it’s up and ready to go!  Christmas fun, watch out!  Here we come!

Woohoo!  Now I just have to keep my kiddos at bay until the 1st!

Here’s the How
Materials:
1.  Envelopes (4 1/8×9 1/2 inches is the size I used)
2.  Paper Cutter
3.  Advent Activities (Print mine out HERE – free printable)

4.  Number Labels (If you’re interested email me.  I haven’t decide if I want to give them out as a freebie yet or not… they took A LOT of work and time)
5.  Stapler and Staples (mine were green and silver – fun!)
6.  Twine, jute or string of some kind.
7.  Wall anchors or hooks
8.  Clothes pins

Directions:
1. Print out your advent activities.  Follow the link above for a free download of our activities.  Some of them will need to be changed (my son’s pre-school teacher’s name, for example) or adjusted.  There are more than 24 activities so you can pick and choose what you want to do.  You can find the Snowman Bowling printables on this post – scroll to the bottom of the post to find the link.
2.  Cut the envelopes in half vertically and seal them.
3.  Cut out the activities and cut out the number labels.
4.  Slide each activity into one of the envelopes.
5.  Use the stapler to attach the number labels to the envelopes.  Make sure you don’t staple the activities inside the envelop.  I used them to place my staples so the advent activities will stay upright better inside the envelop.
6.  Cut your jute or other sting.  Hang the wall anchors on the wall.  Tie the sting to the anchors.
7.  Use the clothes pins to hang the envelopes.

I'm Krista. Ringleader here on While He Was Napping, wife to my handsome Mr. Right & momma to my THREE energetic boys, Big J (9), Little J (6) & Little N (4). We FINALLY added a beautiful little girl to our family last December.

I’m knee-deep in Tonka trucks & Thomas trains. I survive our crazy days with Vanilla Coke, Sonic slushies, sweet snuggles and little giggles. When I tuck them in tight & kiss them good night, I get a little time to create & just be me.
