So, it still gets up into the 90’s here everyday.  We still put the sunshades up in the windshield and we’re still leaving the car windows cracked when we go into the store.  Flip flops and t-shirts are still the uniform of casual wear.  My boots and scarves and hats are still packed away in their boxes.  Even so, autumn (and winter) will be here before ya know it, so in order to get things kicked off on the right foot…

Printable Lunch Notes

I hope everyone had a great three day weekend and that you got one last hoorah of the summer in before school and the rest of your routines take over.  We celebrated our 2nd sealing anniversary today and were able to spend the whole weekend together.  Unfortunately, My Mr. Right brought home a lovely cold and has been so kind as to share with me.  Other than that, though, it’s been fantastic!

I hate when I make up a printable and then forget to post it!  Gah.  So, sorry these are a bit late, but school is still in session and you can still use them.  I hope. 

My mom used to put little notes on my lunch bag until after I was in high school… Secretly, I loved it.  Although, I’d never have shown them to my friends or admitted that I liked it.  Kids.  Hahaha..  But, even these many years later (not a ton of years, but more than five…) I still have a few of those notes tucked away in my “Mementos” box.

Back To School Printable

I know some of you have already started back to school already, maybe even a few weeks ago.  Here, the big day is next Monday for the traditional track schools (the year-round schools started a week or two ago).  My little family won’t be attending school this fall, but my sisters and brother will be.  My mom also works as a nurse for the district with the special needs children, so her schedule is very much determined by the schools as well.  I will admit that it’s been nice to have the school kids gone while Little Monkey naps… Less than impressive insulation lead to more than one way-too-short nap time this summer.  Here’s a printable for those of you who are going (or have already gone) back to school this year.

4th of July Printables

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays.  Might be because it kinda makes me feel like my birthday is a celebration for three whole days, instead of the one I actually get.  Haha. 

And since I’ve spent the last three years as an Army wife, I’ve gained an appreciation for military-inspired holidays.  Mostly because I can understand the sacrifices that military families make and they totally deserve holidays that celebrate them and their loved ones.  It’s not an easy life, but I’m grateful that there are those out there willing to fight for my freedoms, rights and privileges.
