Ideas:
Thrill-  Get season passes to a local amusement park to enjoy this summer.  Watch the newest thriller movie you’ve been wanting to see. 

Together-  Do something you both enjoy.

Tickets-  Get tickets to a concert, play or other event your sweetie would enjoy.  Don’t have the budget?  Give your sweetie a “plane ticket” and take a destination date to anywhere in the world.  All without leaving your home.  There are a couple of kits in my Etsy Shoppe if you’re interested in that.  If you have somewhere you’d like to go and there isn’t a kit, let me know and I’ll work on putting a custom order together for you.

Tall Tales-  Tell each other stories of your childhood… embellish them and see if you can tell the truth from the tales.

Taste-  Splurge on a fancy dinner, at home or go out.

Time-  Sometimes time is the best gift you can give.  Especially if that’s your sweetie’s love language.

Towel-  Have some towels monogrammed (or monogram them yourself).  His and Hers gifts are good reminders of the special bond you have.

Ideas:
Spa-  Treat your sweetie (and yourself!) to a massage at a spa.  Living on a budget that doesn’t include spa visits?  Turn your home into an inviting spa for the evening.  Take turns giving massages after a warm soak in the tub.

Sandwich-  My Mr Right loves sandwiches.  So, he’d be thrilled with this one.  Your sweetie… maybe not so much.

Stars-  Go stargazing.  Even if it’s from the front seat of the car with the heater blaring.

Search-  Create a puzzle or treasure hunt for your sweetie.

Senses-  Have a date night focused on the five senses.  Taste, touch, smell, hear and see (in case you forgot, or something).  Serve some yummy treats and hold hands and steal kisses all night long.  Light some yummy-smelling candles or take a scented bubble bath and make a mixed CD to listen to.  Set a romantic atmosphere with soft lighting.

Skills-  Teach each other something.  Or learn something new together.

Space-  I mean as in outer space, not “give me some space”.  Go stargazing, but kick it up a notch and bring along a star map.  Can you find any planets?  If you have access to a telescope, you can see some pretty cool things… like the rings of Saturn or the moons of Jupiter(in the summer in the northern hemisphere).

Swings-  One of the things My Mr Right and I often say to each other is “come play five with me”.  Ok, Ok… That’s mostly a phrase I say, but he’s been known to utter it on occasion.  Basically, “I’m gonna go do something really dorky and dumb, but it’ll be a lot of fun!  Wanna come?”  Head to the local playground and swing.  Play on the slides and the monkey bars.

Ideas-
Remote:  Let your honey control the remote tonight.

 

Raffle:  Hold a raffle for you and your sweetie.  (You could incorporate this to include your kids too, if you want.)  Raffle off things like back rubs, bubble baths, dinner dates, ect.  Take a stack of play money and equally divide it in two (dollar amount wise).  Give your sweetheart one of the stacks of money to “award” you with through out the week.  He is also trying to be awarded your money pile.  Your good deeds will definitely pay off this week.  Hold your raffle on date night.  Buy tickets for each of the prizes with your award money.  Be generous with your stack, it’ll probably be reciprocated.

Race:  Have a good, old-fashioned race.  Just don’t get so competitive that feelings get wounded.

Recipe:  Try a new one together.  Or as a whole family.

Rendezvous:  Meet your sweetie for lunch or something.  Or sneak away for a weekend!

Roof:  If you have access to a roof (without the possibility, or probability, or slipping to your death- or injury), have a picnic or share a snack and look at the stars.  Or where the stars would be if you could see through all the smog.

Risque Warning:  Stop now if you aren’t interested.

Racy:  Splurge on some new lingerie.  Or pull out some of the ones you haven’t used in a while.  Give a fashion show.  How racy and risque you get is up to you….

So,  I “follow” my own blog… which means I get my own posts in my dashboard on blogger.  When I actually get the chance to scroll through there, I can see what the little clips say that show up in the feed.  I’ve tried to be sensitive to the fact of intimacy in these ABC’s, so imagine my shock and horror when I realized that there was no ‘editing’ done to these little clips of text.  So, I apologize to anyone that has seen those and blushed due to content.  So much for best intentions.  I am changing the format so that you can just stop reading when I tell you to if you aren’t interested in the risqué nature of some of the words.  Again, my apologizes.

Ok, Q is for:
Quarter, Quadruple, Queen, Questions, Queue, Quest, Quick, Quilt, Quintuple, Quiz

Ideas:
Quadruple:  Give a gift in a set of four.  Or four small gifts.

Questions:  Play 20 Questions.  Make the topic something like “our first date” or “our song” or whatever.  Take turns or play a quick round while you’re in the car.

Quest:  Send your sweetie on a little treasure hunt.  Maybe make the prize a yummy dinner.  I know that would be encouragement enough for My Mr Right.

Quick:  Go kidnap your sweetheart from work for lunch.  A quick and unexpected date is sure to lift his spirit.

Quilt:  Make your honey a quilt… or just buy a new one… for your bed.  It’s important for the bedroom to stay a place of interest.  Changing up the decor and set-up once in a while is an easy way to keep the ‘too-familiar’ at bay.

 

Quintuple:  A gift in a set of five.  Like favorite gum.  Or five gifts.  Mix and match.
