I Love You Peanut Butter Cookies

This is a fun, easy way to let your family know you love them.  And it’s a rather easy recipe too.  Can’t ask for more, right?

PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

Ingredients
1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, 1/2 cup white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in egg, then stir in vanilla. Gradually blend in the flour, baking soda and salt. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar to garnish. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Criss-cross with fork tines.  Bake at for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool slightly, and remove from pan.  Decorate with melted almond bark (I used chocolate) and write anything you’d like on the cookies.  Put the melted chocolate in a small ziploc baggie and snip a little bit off the corner.  Then, it’s easy to pipe the chocolate on the cookies.  Enjoy!

Weekend Wander Features

I have been really, Really, REALLY bad at doing features lately and I feel like it’s a little unfair to you lovely ladies (and gentlemen?) that take the time to come and link up.  So, I will try to do better.  Even if it’s just one link, I’m going to try to do some features of every Weekend Wander.  So, without further ado… here are LAST WEEK’s features.  I’m gonna try something… Features in categories.  The Most Clicked Link, Sewing, Recipes, Crafts/DIY, and Seasonal.

The Most Clicked Link Was:

Tina at Scratchy Cat Crafter who had these awesome wooden signs on display!

What a cute sewing tutorial by Shannon over at Living My Life On Purpose.  What a cute bag!  I love the fabric!

I couldn’t pass over this recipe: Peanut Butter Fudge!  YUM!  Head over to Corduroy Dreams and Em will get you all set up with this yummy-ness!
Amy at Increasingly Domestic has a great DIY playdough recipe.  Probaby every mom has or will need this at some point.  I’m filing it away for when Little Monkey get old enough to not eat it…
Jenny over at Embellishing Life (cute name!) made this cute mini bunting perfect for Valentine’s Day!

The ABC’s of Love: G is for

G is for—-

G- Giving, Gifts, Games, Grateful, Group, Galileo, Galore, Garden, Generous, Gentle, German, Giant, Giggle, Girl, Glass, Glimpse, Glow, Goal, Gold, Gondola, Good, Grades, Greek, Green, Groom, Grounded, Guide, Guy

Ideas include:
Group-  Group date.

Galileo-  Go Stargazing.

Source

Garden-  Visit a beautiful garden and enjoy the slow stroll.  Or plan a small garden to plant when it gets warm enough.

German-  German inspired dinner.

Gondola-  Italy-inspired Date. Or just dinner.

Grades-  Give your sweetie a report card.  Does he get straight A’s?  Be honest, but be sensitive too!  No one likes to be criticized.  Let him give you a report card too.  Play games you played in school… hopscotch with masking tape on the floor, four square at the park, jump rope, ect.

Guide-  Take a tour of your home town.  There are probably all kinds of things in your town that you have never done.  Experience your city as a tourist.

The ABC’s of Love: F is for

F is for:

F- Finger foods, Fondue, Fun, Frisky, Fancy, Fantasy, Flirt, Forever, French, Friends, Family, Famous, Fantastic, Fashion Show, Figure, Flower, Formal, Fort

And the ideas are:
Flirt-  Go out and flirt like you used to in the beginning of your relationship.  Relive the good old days.

French-  This could be anything from a French inspired menu for dinner to French kisses in the bedroom.  Use your imagination.

Friends-  Invite some friends over for games and dinner.  Make it an evening to relax and have fun.  Order pizza if you want super simple dinner plans.  Plan something nice and easy that can last just a couple hours if you need to worry about work and school the next morning.

Family-  Spend the evening enjoying your family.  Ask your kids what some of there favorite memories are.  Try to recreate some.  Play games, watch movies, build a fort, go to the park, go get ice cream, ect.

Formal-  Throw a little mini prom for your sweetie.  Invite some friends if you want.  Have a nice meal and some dancing.  And, of course, wear your nicest attire.  Half the fun is dressing up for each other.

Fort-  After the kiddos go to bed, pull out all the big quilts and the kitchen chairs.  Build a fort and spend some time in it, watching a movie or… whatever.

PG-13 Ideas include:
Fantasy:  Make one of your sweetie’s fantasies come true.

Fashion Show:  Make a trip to your lingerie collection.  You sweetie will love being reminded of your collection.  Each piece probably holds some sort of memory and you will both enjoy remembering the special parts of your relationship.

Happy Romancin’!

I'm Krista. Ringleader here on While He Was Napping, wife to my handsome Mr. Right & momma to my THREE energetic boys, Big J (9), Little J (6) & Little N (4). We FINALLY added a beautiful little girl to our family last December.

I’m knee-deep in Tonka trucks & Thomas trains. I survive our crazy days with Vanilla Coke, Sonic slushies, sweet snuggles and little giggles. When I tuck them in tight & kiss them good night, I get a little time to create & just be me.

It all happened
