{Free Printable} Medication Trackers

If you’ve been around the last couple weeks or if you follow on Facebook, you probably know we’ve been sick for the last couple weeks.  Not fun.  Not only did Monkey have to miss the last week and a half of preschool – he loved preschool – but we also had to cancel a trip to the coast.  BOO!  That was almost more depressing the amount of moolah we forked over for medical care!  Well, four doctor appointments later, we all had strep and Monkey boy had impetigo too.  Basically, that equated to four people on five different medications for four different durations and times through out the day and three different dosages.  Huh, right?  Is your head spinning?  Uh, yeah.  I’ve been there.  Having sick kids for a week and a half and being miserable myself, I just used this for my boys:

Classy, yeah?  Haha.  I only had a five day, one pill a day prescription so I just took it with my other pill at bedtime and I figured Mr Napping was capable of tracking his own meds (one pill, four times a day, for 14 days…eesh.  I didn’t want to have to track that too!).  Although it worked, those charts are definitely not pretty.

So, I whipped these babies up and they brought order to that otherwise jumbled mess of instructions and medications.  This is what it could have looked like:

These print on a regular 8.5×11″ piece of paper and are 4 different colors for quick, at-a-glance reference. Janey’s is pink and Billy’s is blue. There are 14 boxes (a typical round of antibiotics runs 10-14 days, right?).  I hope you don’t need these… but just in case you ever find your busy brood in need of an easy way to track medications, just right click, save as and print.

Let’s Learn: Color Sort

This is the first of a new little series I’m calling Let’s Learn.  Basically, it’s our summer school activities.  Monkey has been doing preschool this past year and loving it.  School officially ended last week.  It’ll be nice to have a break, but I also realized that Monkey is far too content to be entertained by a screen – and if I’m not careful, I let it happen because I get more crossed off my to-do list when he’s occupied.  Bad momma.

I found these fun little Wooden Circle Beads a while back.  I had great plans for them around Saint Patrick’s Day (rainbows and all that) and then again around Easter/Spring.  I’m still trying to decide just exactly what I want to do with them.

Don’t those look like fun?!  The buttons are fun too!

… In the meantime, we are using them for a fun color sorting game!

I simply gathered containers of approximately the same colors as the beads.  Silicone baking cups, and an IKEA plate and cup were our containers.  Then I dumped the beads on the floor and demonstrated to Monkey what he needed to do.  He picked it up quick and went right to work.  After he had them sorted, he dumped them all back out and did it two more times.  Then he wanted to race – boys! – so we split the beads up and had a race to see who could sort them the fastest.  All in all, a fun activity.  And it bought me about 30 minutes to get an Etsy order done.  SCORE!

Copy That

Do you use DropBox? Or SkyDrive? Or Box?  Or Cubby?  Or any other “cloud storage”?  I’ve been using DropBox and I love the integration with all my devices.  Have you heard of Copy?  It’s some awesome “cloud storage”, like DropBox, but better.  You get more storage – 15GB – for just signing up.  Use this link and get an extra 5GB:  https://copy.com?r=aU4viU.  Plus, you’ll help me out and I’ll get 5GB too!  I think I’ll use Copy to host any larger printables, so you’ll get more printables too!  Also, rumor is that if you confirm a .edu email address, you can get 5 MORE GB.  I don’t have a .edu address anymore, so I can’t confirm that.  But 20GB for FREE is a screaming deal!  Plus an extra 2GB for sharing on Twitter…

This is not a sponsored post, simply me sharing a service I love.  You can download Copy to your desktop or on your mobile device.  App is available in both the Play Store and the App Store.  Instantly upload photos and video from your mobile devices to cloud storage so you don’t lose those precious photos even if you lose your phone or tablet.  So… go get it!

I'm Krista. Ringleader here on While He Was Napping, wife to my handsome Mr. Right & momma to my THREE energetic boys, Big J (9), Little J (6) & Little N (4). We FINALLY added a beautiful little girl to our family last December.

I’m knee-deep in Tonka trucks & Thomas trains. I survive our crazy days with Vanilla Coke, Sonic slushies, sweet snuggles and little giggles. When I tuck them in tight & kiss them good night, I get a little time to create & just be me.
