Comfort Quilts

Sheena at The Best of Momma Chef contacted me and told me of a great giveaway she’s having.  She’s giving away a fantastic nativity set.  The best part is that they are making these sets for Comfort Quilts charity.  It’s a fantastic organization that makes quilts for families of fallen police officers, firefighters and other public safety personnel.  The quilts are made from their actual uniforms.  What a great reminder and tangible piece of comfort.  I think this is such a great idea.  The possibility of tragedy is so much closer for these families.  I love that there are people and organizations out there that support and will be there for these brave men and women and their loved ones.

These sets are $15/each and all proceeds go to Comfort Quilts.  They are also available in black.

Tuna Noodle Casserole

This week, it’s the easy train for me.  I have a TON of other things I’m trying to get done right now… Most of it will be going up in the Etsy store.  Hopefully, I can make me some money this holiday season.  At the very top of my Christmas wish list……………… A house.  Not cheap.  So I slave away, neglecting my family, in hopes of a few extra pennies.  Which also means…….. quick and easy is calling my name.

TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE

Ingredients:

– 1 lb of Spiral Egg Noodles
– 1-2 cans of tuna, drained
– 1 small package of frozen peas (my momma uses a peas and carrots mix sometimes to change up the flavor a bit.)
– 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
– 1 cup cheese or crushed corn flake cereal, if desired.

Directions:

1. Cook your egg noodles according to the directions on the package.  Drain.  Butter if desired.
2. In a medium bowl, mix tuna, frozen veggies and soup well.  Stir in approximately 1/2 to a full soup can of milk to thin if needed. You can also steam the frozen veggies, if you want to skip reheating the casserole at the end.
3. Combine noodles and sauce. Mix well.
4. If desired, bake 15-20 mins at 350°F to warm. Or heat in the microwave on high for 3-5 mins until casserole is hot.
5. You can sprinkle cheese or crushed corn flake cereal over the top if desired.
Serve and enjoy!

I interrupt your regularly scheduled programming

I interupt your regularly scheduled programming with this public service announcement. So, I wasn’t aware I wouldn’t have intenet access while out of town… All I have is my cell phone. Not the best blogging friendly device. I will be back home Tuesday afternoon and things will return to normal. Tasty Tuesday will go up later that afternoon, instead of early that morning. The halloween contest voting will open Tuesday evening instead of tomorrow… well, in ten minutes. Voting will last until Saturday @ 11 pm PST. I will post a winner by midnight.

I apologize for dropping the ball. But I promise to make up for it with a super exciting announcement. Cross my heart, you’ll like it! Be sure to come back Wednesday morning! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Stay safe!

Happy Halloween!

NEVER MIND… I HAVE A PRETTY AWESOME MR RIGHT THAT FIXED ME UP!  COSTUME CONTEST VOTING IS NOW ACTIVE.  GET YOUR VOTE IN!  AND MAKE SURE TO COME BACK WEDNESDAY MORNING!  IT’LL BE WORTH IT, PROMISE!

Weekend Wander #3

This week I’m doing something a little different.  I am out of town this weekend, so you get to do Fanciful Friday with me!  Link up all your neat stuff!  I am so excited to see all the links when I get back.  Everyone have a fun, safe and happy Halloween!  I may still check in every once in a while, but if you ask a question it probably won’t get answered until Tuesday or Wednesday.  Also, don’t forget to stop by this next week and vote on the costume contest!  Voting starts Sunday, Oct 31.  Winner will receive something very cool!  Hint: If you have a project with vinyl you’d like to do, make sure you enter the contest!  Contest closes Saturday Night!  Now, on with the party!

Check these out from last week:

How cute is this jack-o-lantern shirt by Krafty Kat!
My Mr. Right is gonna love these whole wheat scones by Sheena at The Best of Mama Chef.
Love, LOVE, LOVE this layered pearl necklace by Kara’s Kreations!  So in LOVE!!
Anything with chocolate and peanut butter is definitely right up my alley!  These cupcakes by Michelle at Polka Dots and Pizza are right at the top of my to-try list!  Yum!

Awesome work, ladies!  Feel free to grab a featured button in the sidebar.

On to the Party!
The Rules:
1. All links MUST be family friendly.  Or I will delete it.

That’s it.  Don’t wanna follow?  Don’t (But I would love it if you would… Cool stuff happens here, don’t miss out!  Check out my calendar for an idea of what’s gonna be happening).  Don’t wanna link back?  That’s alright.  I understand that’s just one more thing in your already busy life.  I would appreciate any help in spreading the word about Weekend Wander, but no pressure.  If you like what you see and plan on being a regular, I’d love for you to add my name to your link party list (who doesn’t have one of those, right!?!) or my button to your blog.  Really don’t want to?  That’s ok.  I won’t tell you off or write you mean anonymous comments, promise!  I just enjoy seeing everyone’s ideas.  However, by linking, you are giving me permission to use your photos in a feature of your project.  Of course, this feature will include a link back to the original post.  Thanks!

I'm Krista. Ringleader here on While He Was Napping, wife to my handsome Mr. Right & momma to my THREE energetic boys, Big J (9), Little J (6) & Little N (4). We FINALLY added a beautiful little girl to our family last December.

I’m knee-deep in Tonka trucks & Thomas trains. I survive our crazy days with Vanilla Coke, Sonic slushies, sweet snuggles and little giggles. When I tuck them in tight & kiss them good night, I get a little time to create & just be me.
